Google Wave Launch Date

I've seen reports that google will be opening up its wave product to general users at the end of september 2009. The marketing will be via invitations from friends in the same way that googlemail was launched previously. This is a proven marketing method for email products which also worked well for hotmail in the past.

I'm on the list and will be waiting for my invitation to test the software eagerly.
